Smooth legs

Hey there guys and dolls!

-Side note: Apparently I have lost the other blogs that I posted up here. My effort to put all the information back on here will take me some time, but I will get it all back here I promise.

During my year I discovered a few tricks to soft smooth legs. One of them I found by accident. On one of my adventures on the road I decided to pack light. Great idea until I realized I needed to shave my legs and my shaving cream was back at home. Tip I discovered: Conditioner does the trick! It doesn't last as long, but in a bind it will work.

This discovery got me thinking. I did some experimenting. Lotion will also help your legs get silky soft! Again, it won't last very long, but can get the job done.

My favorite discovery from this year was Men's Shaving Cream. Oh my goodness! I think I am hooked for life. It gives me a much better save then any other shaving cream I have ever used. Put a mens razor with it and you have a match made in heaven for your legs. Think about it, they where designed for someones face. Talk about a close and almost perfect shave. Don't believe me? Try it out and I bet you will be thanking me later!

Welcome

Hello everyone!

First and foremost happy 4th of July weekend! I don't don't think we could have planned a more beautiful weekend here in Detroit, Michigan.

Now that my year as Miss Michigan 2009 has come to an end, I decided with my spare time to start a blog. There is much to share from my year out on the road. Experiences, information, history, helpful tips and hints and just about everything else in between. During the year as Miss Michigan I didn't have much time to blog, but I have the time now:) Hopefully this will come in handy or at least be a place for you to get an inside look at the job of a State title holder from the Miss America program and what happens with life after.

It has been an eventful first few week officially part of the unemployment rate here in Michigan. I am now another statistic, one that carries heavy importance, here in our state. Resumes have been sent out, calls have been coming in and big decisions have to be made. Ahh, all part of the fun.

The past two weeks have been packed with events as now a "Former Miss Michigan". I refuse to use the word "has been". I think it is disrespectful to the work title holders do and plain and simple, I think its tacky. Former, the old MM, Last years, MM 2009, however you want to referee to me, but not a "has been". Yuck. This Wednesday I returned home from a 3 day trip up to Marquette. Look for a blog about the trip all by it self. It was very eventful:) I also attended a breakfast fundraiser for the breast cancer 3 day with Ihop pancake in Livonia. It was great!! Way to go ladies, you make me so proud to be a woman!! Eagle Village hosted a lunch last week for new supporters of their cause that I attended. During my year as MM 09' I visited their establishment up in Hersay. They offer programs and counseling for abused, neglected and troubled children. One of my favorite things Eagle Village offers is a family AND faith based recovery. I love what they are doing for the youth of our state.

Finally, this week was highlighted by the premiere of ECLIPSE! yes, the Twilight saga. Call me a nerd, dork, fanpire, twihard or D) all of the above. I absolutely love the series:) Today, one of the Twilight cast member is in Detroit. I have heard it is either Kristen Stewert, Taylor Lautner or Robert Pattinson. Personally, I hope it is Taylor since he is a Grand Rapids native. Either way, welcome to our great state!
